Scenic Pictures
Of course I have more than 6 good scenic shots - but I'm rushing to get this page ready before I go to Colorado this year. I'll try to remember to add more soon.
The third picture was taken from where the guy in the second picture is standing. And, obviously, that picture was taken from the bank on the opposite side of the pond in the third shot. The fourth pic is just a real small version so you can see the whole thing on the screen at once. This is Estes Park, about 40 miles north of Boulder, Colorado.
The fourth picture is of The Grand Tetons in Wyoming. From the plains they rise up about 6500 feet. This gives such a clear view of a 6500 foot rise, it's become a unit of skiing vertical. For example, on a good powder day you can ski 4 to 5 Tetons. My all-time high (powder/tree skiing, that is) is just a hair under 8 Tetons (50500 feet). I once did 9 Tetons of mindless cruising in Pennsylvania - but that to tree skiing in powder is like Dom Perignon to Don Juan. (Don Juan was $1.29 for 32 ounces of 42% alcohol wine that was beyond disgusting to drink).
